The Trial of Dr. Chua
Chua, 45, has been held in the Camden County jail since September 2006 when he was arrested and charged with the drug overdose death of Jamie Carter III. Prosecutors say Carter, 20, died from drugs Chua prescribed for no legitimate medical purpose.

Motion to dismiss charges denied

Prior to the start of closing arguments, defense attorney Donald Samuel asked Judge Amanda Williams to drop charges against St. Marys physician Noel Chua.

She denied the motion to drop murder and all 16 drug charges against Chua for the overdose death of Jamie Carter III in December 2005.

The discussion was held in the courtroom outside the presence of jurors.

All I can say is that Chua comes off as being one sick puppy. He is the Michael Jackson of Camden County. Instead of a chimp and pedifile zoo, Chua has pills for little boys. What is a disgrace to his race, doctors and family. He should have left his sister home. She slipped up and put the boys in bed with him. It is a good thing she moved out of the residence. I have a feeling she has worn out her welcome. Never know what a jury will do but the over whelming evidence is he is a sexual preditor, playing on addiction of kids for his perversion. The Sheriff must have seen some thing we haven't. What a mess. Pills for sex.

So I am guessing after this new charges will be filed for child molestation.

Does it surprise you that he and the Sheriff are good friends.

A sheriff, a meth maker and a child molester.

This trail is not for being a "pedifile". Dr. Chua is on trial for murder, and I believe he could not be any more innocent! The kid had a past of being a drug abuser. The drug that killed him was what Dr. Chua prescribed for his constand migraines. Jaimie overdosed on the drug in which is obviously his own fault. Dr. Chua did not force Jaimie to shoot up lethal amounts of medication. There is proof from experts showing that all the drugs that Dr. Chua prescribed to Jaimie were legitamate for migranes. He was trying to help this kid, and all Jaimie wanted to do was get "higher". I was a patient of Dr. Chua and he would never prescribe a medication that was not neccessary. He was a wonderful Dr. to me and my family. and if people would just pay attention to the facts, they would all point to how innocent Dr. Chua really is.
and also, Dr. Chua is on trial. NOT the sherriff.

As a former patient and supporter, your objectivity is amiss. The facts shows that he is a pedophile, that he has violated the controlled substances law of Georgia and that he is responsible for the death of this young man.

Your entitled to your own opinion, and so am I.

We will see the verdict soon, now wont we?

"and also, Dr. Chua is on trial. NOT the sherriff."

This is correct. Look for the
sheriff's trial sometime next year.

Bill Smith won his election by a landslide against Rich Gamble, meaning whoever voted for him in Camden brought it on themselves.
There is no question about that.

I believe new charges will come from this trial. Sure they can't retry him for murder, which I never thought he was guilty of, but as soon as the jury says not guilty, the can rearrest him and charge him with child molestation.
By the testimony of his own sister.

It is not illegal for anyone over the age of 16 in the state of Georgia to have sexual relations. Gay or straight, it's still legal.
Chil molestor? Common now lets be serious.

Rick, you are a joke. Is it that you wished you went to school to be an attorney or something? I don't think anyone with a criminal history can be an attorney, right?

haha I'd have to agree, are you proud of your DUI booking? I didnt see your page until now, and now im REALLY not taking you seriously. no wonder you dont like Bill Smith!

The age of sexual consent is 16 for adults who are under 24 years of age,
or if the adult that is 24 years of age or older is married to the minor.
